Last month, I decided to embark on a small journey of discovery, marking my 31st birthday with moments that were both simple and meaningful.
My adventure began with a visit to Al Meydan Bridge. The wavy neon-blue lights caught my curiosity, and I found myself posing there amidst the occasional sports car zipping past. It wasn’t a spectacular landmark, but the energy of the place was definitely worth experiencing.

A few days later, I headed to Dubai Harbour with some friends. Standing on the platform, I felt the moment as the winter was getting cooler. The view of towering buildings created a blend of serenity and urban life. It felt like an experience I never dreamed of but one that I wanted to treasure.

I also tried the Dhow Cruise in Dubai Creek. For a small fee, I got a chance to sail past the old souq, historic buildings, and the famous Al Seef. The food was modest, but the live entertainment and the scenic views of the old city made it an enjoyable evening. It reminded me of simpler cruises in other countries, yet with its own urban charm.

The highlight of my travels was Khor Fakkan, in Sharjah. Far from the busy city life, this area felt like a hidden countryside. The endless blue ocean, the quiet mountains, and the laid-back ambience offered a peaceful escape. It was the perfect reminder that life can slow down, even for a brief moment, allowing you to soak in simplicity and calmness.

I celebrated my birthday in the most humbling way, a meal at a food court. No grand parties, just a simple reminder of life’s impermanence and the value of the moments and people who truly matter. These experiences weren’t about extravagance; they were about discovery, presence, and appreciation for both adventure and stillness.
